Gas Suppression (FM-200, Clean Agent, CO2)
Water and powder can ruin a server room as badly as the fire itself. Records, control panels and switchgear deserve better.
A clean-agent system floods the room with gas that puts out the fire in about ten seconds and leaves nothing behind – no water, no residue, no week-long clean-up.
to discharge – the fire is out with no water damage to servers or archives
Put the fire out – and keep the equipment
Water and powder can destroy servers, control panels and records as surely as fire. Clean-agent and CO₂ systems flood a closed room with gas that puts the fire out in seconds and leaves no residue. They protect server rooms, control rooms, switchgear and archives.
Detection, countdown, discharge
Tap any part of the drawing to see what it does.
- 01Two detection zones must confirm the fire
- 02A countdown warns people to leave; doors and AHUs close
- 03Agent discharges in ~10 seconds and the fire is out

Suppression agents & system design
FM-200 (HFC-227ea)
Proven chemical agent; small cylinders, 10-second discharge. HFCs are being phased down under the Kigali Amendment.
Novec 1230-type FK-5-1-12
Low global-warming fluid agent; original Novec 1230 production ended in 2025, with equivalent FK-5-1-12 agents available.
Inert gases (IG-541 / IG-55)
Natural gases (nitrogen, argon, CO₂) – zero environmental impact, but more cylinders and pressure relief needed.
CO₂ systems
For unoccupied areas such as electrical panels and machinery – not for occupied rooms.
Cross-zoned detection
Two detectors in different zones must confirm a fire before discharge – preventing false releases.
Room integrity testing
A door-fan test proves the room holds the gas long enough to keep the fire out.
